The month of September

September has flown by!! I can't believe Zeke will be 8 months old on the 28th of this month. September has been a good month, but brought one sad event. On September 10 we lost this guy:
PB Wolf: Beloved cat of Jungleboy and FarmPrincess

Some of you may remember him.  I did several blogs on the funny antics of PB Wolf.  It was a very sudden and unexpected loss. He was young and seemed to be in good health.  It appeared he had a heart attack.  I am a huge animal lover and it was hard to lose him.  But as I tell myself every time I lose a pet, "Now they are in heaven being cared for by my Grandma Larson!" It is still hard, but it makes it easier!  Though that was a rough time, September has been an otherwise good month.

Zeke has become quite the fan of food.  Once I started him on real food, he loved it.  He just wasn't a fan of that mushy baby food.  So far he has liked everything we've given him, including vegetables like spaghetti squash and a few bites of brussel sprouts.  He really likes lasagna, mac and cheese, carrots and potatoes. He likes peaches the best out of the fruits, but he also loves strawberries and cantaloupe.

Zeke can crawl, but still prefers to do his inchworm crawl to get around fast.  He also pulls himself up on everything!!! He likes to scare his mama and grandma by letting go once he gets stood up and also by trying to move to somewhere new without hanging on to anything.  I'm a bit worried he may be a bit of a daredevil when he gets older! He can stand for a few seconds all by himself. He thinks he's pretty big now!!

Zeke is a very independent child.  He likes to try to feed himself and he can actually get the spoon in his mouth.  He doesn't like to be snuggled like a baby; he is a big boy! He officially has 2 bottom teeth that have broken through.  He was a really good sport about it.  I'm hoping that's how the rest of teething goes for us!

Zeke is still a lover of animals and continues to be a happy baby.  He is full of smiles and is very friendly.  He is also very smart! Here are a few of his favorite things:

*Spending time with Grandma!!
*Sophie the Giraffe!
*Books, especially his kitten book!
*Daddy and Mama!
*Outside. He LOVES being outside!
*Church. He is always so good at church!

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be a mom and to have Zeke in our family!!! He has such a sweet and energetic spirit!!
